Hugh Jackman and Thandiwe Newton (LOVE HER!) star in the sci-fi, mystery movie Reminiscence from director Lisa Joy. Reminiscence is set in a future where people have the technology to relive their best (or worst) memories. Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman) meets Mae (Rebecca Ferguson) and they have this cute romance. When she mysteriously disappears, he goes down a rabbit hole to figure out who she really is and why she left.
On paper, this movie sounds great. I love Thandiwe Newton so I already knew from the jump I was going to watch it. Hugh Jackman is an amazing actor as well. His performance in The Prestige (if you haven’t seen this movie what the heck are you waiting for) reassured me that he had the chops for this drama. I’m a science fiction freak so this was right up my alley.
